Steve Smith, David Warner, Chris Gayle and Lasith Malinga are among the most expensive players listed for Sunday's draft for England's new domestic tournament – The Hundred.
In all, six players are in the top base price of £125,000 (Dh 584,000) announced by the England and Wales Cricket Board.
Aussie batting star Smith had an outstanding Ashes but Warner struggled in the five-Test series. But both command top dollars in franchise cricket and that is the case this time as well.
Aussie fast bowler Mitchell Starc has been blowing hot and cold for some time but is still placed in top tier.
Sri Lanka pace veteran Malinga has revived his career at the age of 36, recently taking four wickets in four balls in the third T20 against New Zealand last month, underlining his value in limited overs cricket. He also has a base price of £125,000.
South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada and West Indies franchise cricket icon Gayle round off the top six in the draft.
Right below them, Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir and West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell will command a base price of £100,000. T20 superstar Rashid Khan of Afghanistan is among 239 players from outside the UK to enter the draft.
England World Cup winners Mark Wood and Liam Plunkett lead 331 domestic players who have put their names in the draft.
"Teams will select 12 players on the night – with a maximum of three overseas picks – who will join the already-announced England red-ball contracted players and Local Icons," the ECB said in a statement.
Five of the eight city-based sides will have an Australian in charge with Shane Warne, Darren Lehmann and Tom Moody among them. However, none of the men's teams have an English coach. The Hundred is set to take place in July next year.
