Martin Guptill (3/10): Batted positively, hitting a great six off the bowling of Jofra Archer, but failed to kick on thereafter. Nearly pulled off an amazing win in the super over, but was not to be. Getty Images
Henry Nicholls (8/10): Mixed caution with aggression to become the only New Zealander to score a fifty on Sunday. Laid the foundation for a competitive score. Reuters
Kane Williamson (5/10): Batted confidently for as long as he was in the middle before getting the faintest of edges to be caught behind for 30. Marshalled his team well while England were batting and was good in the field. Getty Images
Ross Taylor (3/10): Form player in the run-up to the final, he looked set at the wicket before being dismissed LBW for 15. Missed a trick by not asking for a review as he will have survived and possibly made a better score. PA Wire
Tom Latham (8/10): Batted well in the second half of New Zealand's innings to score a vital 47 and ensure New Zealand had a competitive total on the board. Held on to his catches behind the stumps, too. Reuters
Jimmy Neesham (8/10): Got to a well-made 19 before trying to up the ante and getting out. He bowled well, too, taking the crucial wicket of Eoin Morgan and shining at the death. He did well with the bat in the super over as well. Getty Images
Colin de Grandhomme (6/10): Struggled in the middle especially against the pace of Jofra Archer before getting out for just 16. He bowled much better than he batted, taking 1-25 in a stingy 10-over spell. Dropped what seemed like a straightforward return catch from Jonny Bairstow, though. AP Photo
Mitchell Santner (4/10): Came in at the death before scoring just five. His left-arm spin bowling was steady at best and certainly not spectacular. Reuters
Matt Henry (7/10): Bowled a brilliant opening spell, taking the wicket of Jason Roy and essentially putting the brakes on England's run-scoring. A fighter at heart. Getty Images
Trent Boult (6/10): Bowled a fantastic opening spell, too, and was unfortunate to not get the wicket off the first ball of the England innings that would have sent Jason Roy back to the pavilion. But he proved a trifle expensive thereafter. He will also remember conceding a six to Ben Stokes at the boundary for a long time. Reuters
Lockie Ferguson (8/10): Bowled his heart out, as he has throughout the tournament, taking the prized wicket of Jonny Bairstow and holding on to a brilliant catch in the outfield to dismiss England captain Eoin Morgan. Getty Images
