England seamer Stuart Broad entered one of the most exclusive clubs in cricket on Tuesday, picking up his 500th Test wicket on the final morning of the deciding Manchester Test against the West Indies.

Just six other bowlers have reached the mark, including Broad's long-time partner James Anderson.

What's more, Broad's landmark victim – opening batsman Kraigg Brathwaite – also was Anderson's 500th scalp back in 2017.

After successive nights stuck on 499 wickets, a wait extended by Monday's washout at theEmirates Old Trafford, Broad endured another brief rain delay on day five.

However, the brief delay did not deter the 34-year-old seamer, who struck with the third ball of his fourth over.

Broad went full and straight at Brathwaite and had the batsman plumb lbw.

That left the tourists 45-3, with England well on the way to sealing a 2-1 series win.
