Felipe Caicedo’s first two goals helped Al Jazira win despite the suspensions of two of their first XI. Abdelaziz Barrada was out after being shown a red card last week, and the right-back Khalid Sabeel was banned one game and fined Dh10,000 for making contact with the Al Dhafra coach Abdullah Misfir.

Adeilson’s goal in the 78th minute allowed the visitors to keep their grip on second place in the table. The strike was the ninth in the league season for the Brazilian forward. Ajman’s modest two-match victory streak was ended, but they remain five points clear of the drop zone.
