Mario Balotelli has found himself at the centre of a racism storm in Italy after a shocking public remark by Paolo Berlusconi, vice president of his new club AC Milan.
Berlusconi, younger brother of club president and former prime minister Silvio, described the former Manchester City forward using a racial epithet during a political meeting in Monza.
The comment was filmed by local reporters and has sparked outrage in Italy, coming just a month after Milan midfielder Kevin Prince-Boateng was praised by Berlusconi for walking off the pitch after being racially abused during a friendly against Pro Patria.
Paolo Berlusconi was attending a rally for a candidate for his brother's right-wing People of Freedom party when he made the comments.
