Hashim Amla won the 'Cricket of the Year' award along with four other trophies at the Cricket South Africa's (CSA) Annual Awards night yesterday. Amla was also named 'Test Cricketer of the Year', the 'South African Players' Player of the Year' and 'CSA Fans' Cricketer of the Year' awards. Meanwhile, Jesse Ryder, the injury-prone New Zealand batsman, has been ruled out of next month's one-day international tri-series in Sri Lanka because of an elbow injury. Ryder, 25, injured the ligaments in his elbow prior to the World Twenty20 in the West Indies in May. His replacement will be named today.
