Baniyas moved level on points with Al Ain at the top of the Pro League table with a 3-1 away win over Al Dhafra.
Yousuf Jaber, the Baniyas captain, opened the scoring for a half-time lead and Mohammed Fawzi, the Emirati midlfielder, doubled the advantage past the hour.
Bandar Mohammed reduced the deficit for the home side before Andre Senghor, the Senegalese forward, fired home his eighth league goal of the season in injury time to seal the game at the Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium.
Baniyas have been solid after losing their opening match against Al Shabab.
They won four on the trot before going down to Al Wahda and since bounced back to collect 10 points from the last four games.
With the result, Baniyas took their tally to 22 points from 10 games and are now headed for a mouth-watering home meeting against Al Ain, the defending champions, next week.
