Al Ain went on the rampage against Al Dhafra, hammering them 7-0 to inflict the promoted club's first Pro League defeat of the season.

Asamoah Gyan led the charge with a hat trick, taking his tally to seven to top the scoring charts after the three rounds, while Dhafra finished the game with 10 men after Mohammed Qasim was sent off two minutes into the second half.

The Ghana international striker opened the scoring from the penalty spot after five minutes and added a second on 20 minutes to send the champions 2-0 ahead at thebreak.
