The UAE's most trailblazing women sit down with Amina Taher in new podcast 'Seera'

Listen as five women from the region discuss disrupting the status quo, their ambitions and the things that drive them

Seera is a new podcast from The National, launching on International Women's Day, 2020. Listen to host Amina Taher as she sits down with some of the most successful and trailblazing women in the Middle East, to hear their stories.

In the new series, you'll hear from Aljoud Lootah, the Emirati designer and artist who created the UAE's official gift for Pope Francis; Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, great-granddaughter of Sheikh Zayed, the Founding Father; and Rima Assi, a senior partner at McKinsey in Abu Dhabi.

Taher will also speak to Lana Nusseibeh, UAE Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN; and Dr Rana Dajani, a Jordanian molecular scientist.

These women are challenging stereotypes, disrupting the status quo and breaking the glass ceiling. They open up about their childhood, their ambitions and what drives them.
