Moeen Ali has been dropped by England for the second Ashes Test at Lord's.
The all-rounder struggled with both bat and ball in England's 251-run loss in the first Test against Australia in Birmingham that concluded on Monday.
He was out for a five-ball duck in the first innings before making four in his second knock.
The 32 year old took 1-42 in Australia's first innings before he unravelled in the second innings, going for 2-130 off 29 overs at an economy rate of 4.48.
Jack Leach, who played in England's win over Ireland in July, where he scored 92 as a nightwatchman, comes in for Ali.
It is the second time in 18 months that Ali has been jettisoned from the Test side, and he was also dropped mid-tournament from the Cricket World Cup and was a spectator as his teammates won the competition at Lord's against New Zealand on July 15.
Jofra Archer is also included in the 12-man squad. The pace bowler, who played for Sussex 2nds in midweek to prove his fitness, will compete with Sam Curran to replace the injured James Anderson in the bowling attack.
Anderson suffered a calf injury after bowling only four overs at Edgbaston.
The squad will meet up in London on Sunday to prepare for the match.
