The famous opera singer speaks to Books of my Life about his fondness for biographies and what he has in common with Angela Ashes author Frank McCourt

Bryn Terfel started singing at a young age growing up on a farm in Wales. Books of My Life host Rupert Hawksley found the bass-baritone singer very willing to discuss his career. It was a little trickier keeping him on the topic of books, however. He did manage to pin down a few of his favourite reads, though, including his early fascination with The Mabinogion, a collection of Welsh stories dating back to the 12th century.
