The Possession collection is one of the most sought-after ranges from Swiss luxury jewellery and watch brand Piaget. Dating back more than 25 years, the collection was typically characterised by gleaming gold bands and circular motifs emblazoned with diamonds. But for the first time, the maison has injected colour into the Possession collection. Black onyx, red cornelian, lapis lazuli, green malachite and turquoise ornamental stones breathe new life into classic Possession pieces.

The new pieces feature the colourful stones in spherical shapes, hanging from long gold chains, on delicate bracelets or at the ends of gold bangles. In pendant form, the stones are encircled by a rotating ring, set with a diamond. The overall effect is somewhat orbital, invoking futuristic fantasies of travelling to outer space.

To unveil the new Possession range, Piaget recruited international style icon Olivia Palermo, who was wearing a low-cut red dress with cap sleeves, red lips and stark, black nails, along with decorative pieces from the collection.

Our fashion team was one of the first in the region to see the magnificent Piaget Possession 2017 pieces first-hand, when we shot them for the watches and jewellery shoot coming out in this month’s issue of Luxury magazine, which will be published with The National next Thursday, April 13.
