What's hot and what's not fashion round-up

We love Burberry Brights but the giant bow trend seen on the red carpet recently is a no-no.

Burberry Brights

Watching New York Fashion Week, we're craving brights, so it's lucky the Burberry Brights range is available online at www.burberry.com - this orange number costs Dh4,375.

Posh Louboutins

Her collections are getting better and better, but the things we really loved at Victoria Beckham in New York this week were the long suede boots designed for her by Christian Louboutin.

Laughing to the bank

Jessica Simpson may not have cut it as a successful singer, but something tells us she's still going to have the last laugh, after it was reported that her label, the Jessica Simpson Collection, is set to be the first celebrity line to make $1 billion (Dh3.6bn) in sales in one year.

Giant bows

Not loving the gift-wrapped look on red carpets everywhere, with Gemma Arterton's YSL version a particular offender. And there's more coming our way for autumn/winter 2011/12. For Christmas only, folks.

Men in tight jeans

Levi's new "ex-girlfriend" jeans are surely the final death knell for skinny jeans on men. Presumably the "ex" bit refers to when she dumps you for looking like an indie-rocker from five years ago.

The catwalks of New York are replete with mink, fox and monkey style, knitted, shaved and otherwise messed around with. It may be a jungle out there on Planet Fashion, but that doesn't mean we should dress like animals.
