Enjoy crawling in mud? Like climbing over walls and jumping hurdles? If you're looking to add a little more excitement into your daily routine, for one day, why not become the Chief Obstacle Tester for du Tough Mudder?
The job is what it sounds like – someone to test out the new thrilling obstacles for the event series. Even better? Whoever is selected will also be given the chance to put together a team of up to five to take part in a secret preview before anyone else.
Here’s how to apply
Simply nominate yourself and tag your teammates on the du Tough Mudder’s Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages explaining why you deserve to be the Chief Obstacle Tester alongside a relevant image or video with the hashtag #duToughMudder (and yes, make sure your profile is open).
Direct messages will also be accepted. If you are chosen, you and your team will be invited to a secret location to test things out. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Oct 31.
What you need
Candidates will ideally be adventure-seeking and willing to come face-to-face with their fears. Requirements for the Chief Obstacle Tester include:
- A Jason Bourne-like attitude to problem solving
- Ability to put teamwork above all else
- Eagerness to overcome personal fears and challenges
- Mental resilience
- Ability to swim
- Good communication skills under pressure
- Affinity to ice cold baths and electric shocks
- Willingness to get dirty
However, if you're not picked, don't worry — you can still pump up the adrenaline by participating in the du Tough Mudder. This year's event will take place from December 7-8 at Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai.
