Get ready to work up a sweat when the Tough Mudder challenge comes to Abu Dhabi.
The world-renowned obstacle course race will take place in Abu Dhabi for the first time on Friday, October 11. Tickets are now available from www.toughmudder.ae. Early bird tickets are also available until Saturday, August 31.
The upcoming challenge, to take place Al Hudayriat Island, will mark the third Tough Mudder race to be held in the UAE.
The event made its debut in Dubai in December 2018, before returning to Ras Al Khaimah in March.
Like previous editions, the Abu Dhabi race will be full of zany and arduous obstacle courses.
They include the Black Widow, a series of 30 elevated tight ropers suspended over water, and the Leap of Faith, where 'mudders' are required to jump and grab hold of a cargo net. Other signature challenges coming to Abu Dhabi include The Mud Mile, a run that includes contestants going through ditches caked in mud.
“Tough Mudder is back for the winter season and we couldn’t be more excited to be running the event in Abu Dhabi for the first time,” said Nic Cartwright from organisers Sabco Sports.
“The obstacles are better than ever and the course route on Al Hudayriat Island is epic. Gather your team and get training, you really don’t want to miss this event!”

Mini Mudder: 1.6km, Age 5-13. Dh100.
Tough Mudder 5km, Age 14+. Dh350.
Tough Mudder Classic, 10-12km. Age 14+, Dh400
Tough Mudder, 10-12km (with your time recorded), Age 14+
Dh500.
Contestants under the age of 17-years-old must be accompanying by a participating adult aged 18-year-old and over.
