MMA fighter launches Muay Thai kick-boxing classes at Bodylines Gym at Rose Rayhaan by Rotana, Dubai
Professional MMA fighter Rafat Shawe will launch a Muay Thai Kickboxing class for adults every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 7pm, starting from October 14. The class will be a full-body workout. Originally a form of self-defence, Muay Thai was once called “The Art of Eight Limbs”, because the fighter uses eight point of contact (spread among the hands, feet, elbows, and knees). Individual classes cost Dh90 per class. Packages of 10 classes start from Dh700 and 20 classes from Dh1,300.

New instructor and martial arts platforms come to Primal Gym, Abu Dhabi
The gym located on Reem Island has added Les Mill elite instructor Chantelle Rogers. She will teach two ladies-only dance classes (Sh’Bam and BodyJam) on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6.30pm. In addition, she is also a Les Mills Tribe coach and can assist other instructors with their training. Primal has also added on an MMA cage and boxing ring, and offer afternoon and evening martial-art classes such as MMA, Muay Thai, boxing, and Brazilian ju-jitsu. The gym also has a special promotional deal with Les Mills in which use of their promo code LMLFJQEG will allow anyone who buys a Les Mills Live Dubai ticket a free month's worth of access to all fitness classes (worth Dh800).

Abu Dhabi Country Club host Breast Cancer Awareness group fitness events
Abu Dhabi Country Club will celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month with special group fitness classes dedicated to raising awareness to the cause. Sign up for a two-hour restorative yoga class on October 9, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, or on October 12 (ladies-only) from 9.30am to 11.30am. There will also be a two-hour Bodycombat class on October 21 from 10.30am-12.30pm, as well as an Acro Yoga class on October 26 from 6.30pm-8.30pm. Classes are free to members or Dh120 for non-members

New hire and yoga class at Stables Fitness Centre, Dubai
Located in Desert Palm Dubai resort, the fitness centre has hired trainer Tijana Babic, who specialises in Pilates, Body Pump, TRX and spinning classes. The Serbian also holds a master’s degree in Physical Education and Sport, and was on the Serbian National Team for Table Tennis.
The venue has also launched a 75-minute Ashtanga yoga class with instructor Natalia Rennie. The classes focus on the fluidity of breath and movement, and includes sun salutations, the standing sequence, balance, selected seated postures and a finishing sequences. Guided through a systematic flow of postures, the class is designed to promote strength, flexibility and stamina.

'Train Like an Angel' programme launches at Montenapoleone Fitness, Dubai
This custom-made fitness and nutrition programme is inspired by the workouts and meal plans of celebrities. It is customised based on your body goals and includes five bespoke one-on-one workouts per week, all of which are guided by a personal trainer.
