Yoga in the Burj Khalifa

Anyone seeking some early morning elevation can try a new yoga class in an extremely lofty location. Zen At The Top is a series of yoga lessons taking place on the world's highest observatory deck in the world's tallest skyscraper, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The hour-long classes, conducted by instructors from Fitness First clubs in Dubai, start tomorrow and run on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until July 6 at 7.30am. Free swimming lesson

Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi is inviting people to a free swimming lesson in an attempt to smash a world record. At 5pm on June 18, the water park on Yas Island will play its part in a global bid by water parks and aquatic facilities across the world to break the Guinness World Record for the biggest ever swimming lesson. Yas Waterworld is looking to break the record for the most-attended event hosted at a single venue. The global event, which attracted 24,873 participants last year, is aiming to spread the message that swimming lessons save lives. Celebrities such as Emma Watson, Eva Longoria and Heidi Klum swear by it to keep their svelte figures. Now, James & Alex Dance Studios in Dubai Media City is inviting women to try pole fitness for themselves. The school has just started Dance Infused Vertical Aerobics (DIVA) otherwise known as pole fitness or pole dancing, which offers a full-body workout that promotes core strength, poise and elegance.
