Dubai workshop highlights how to stay healthy during Ramadan

Learn how to stay healthy during Ramadan at a free workshop at the Madinat Theatre in Dubai on Wednesday, May 17.

Speakers at the Wind Down, Slow Down, Reflect – A Ramadan Workshop include Nasif Kayed, founder and CEO of The Arab Culturalist; Essa Al Ansari, an Emirati influencer who shed 70 kilograms; Vijay Sharma, Talise Spa yoga wellbeing consultant; and Gabi Kurz, director of nutrition operations and projects at Talise.

Sharma will hold a mini meditation session at 7pm aimed at improving concentration, increasing self-awareness, reducing stress and boosting happiness.

This will be followed by a session by Kayed at 7.15pm on the meaning of Ramadan, highlighting the importance of charitable work, especially during the Year of Giving.

At 7.45pm, Al Ansari will give a motivational talk on his lifestyle transformation and how he remains committed to staying fit during Ramadan. Then, at 8.15pm, Kurz offers nutritional advice on keeping a well-balanced diet during the Holy Month. She will offer tips on the best ways to break the fast and which food groups to focus on during iftar and suhour.
