Dubai’s biggest yoga festival is set to return next year for a weekend of inspiration, invigoration and zen.

XYoga Dubai will take place at Kite Beach and will see an extensive list of international and local practitioners lead more than 15,000 yoga-lovers through two full days of classes for all abilities and ages.

On this year’s bill are Laura Sykora, who has a following of more than one million yogis; global yoga warrior Janet Stone; Garth Hewitt, the creator of the Shiva Yoga system; best-selling author and celebrated wellness expert Davidji; and popular Indian yogi and trainer-to-the-stars Deepika Mehta.

Joining the international guests will be UAE experts hosting a series of holistic signature sessions, including Nilaya House, Urban Yoga, Yoga House, Yoga Ashram, Dryp, Lotus Holistic Yoga Center and Voyoga.

The full programme is set to be revealed in the weeks before the festival, which takes place from February 1 to 2, 2019, but new styles to be introduced this year include Iyengar yoga, partner yoga, hula hoop yoga, Bollywood dance, tai chi, acroyoga and yogalates. Some of last year’s most popular styles – including sri sri yoga, yin yoga, clinical yoga, therapeutic yoga and art therapy yoga – will also be part of the programme.

In the lead-up to the main festival events, organisers XDubai and Dubai Holding will be hosting warm-up sessions around the city, the first of which will take place at 5pm on December 21, 2018 at the Ripe Market at Police Academy Park.

“We are proud to partner with XDubai to bring this landmark event back to the Emirate," says Amit Kaushal, chief executive officer of Dubai Holding. "Our support for the XYoga Dubai Festival, an event which has become a definitive part of the annual calendar, is a testament to our commitment to encourage our communities to lead an active and healthy lifestyle."
