Burj Club Spa launches four treatments for men
Several new massage treatments are now available to men at the Burj Club Spa (www.burjkhalifa.ae), each of which focuses on a different part of the body, and all of which promise to promote a sense of relaxation and well-being. The signature Burj Spa treatment combines the low-pressure strokes of the Swedish massage with essential oils from aromatherapy. The Balinese treatment uses acupressure, while the Shiatsu massage applies pressure from the palm and fingers to promote the flow of energy, and correct imbalances such as sinusitis, bronchitis and fatigued joints. Gym-goers can opt for the firmer Athletic massage, which releases tension and assists in muscle recovery. Men can also sign up for a facial treatment or simply enjoy the spa’s complimentary facilities, such as the steam room, sauna and multisensory showers.
Drink your way to healthy skin with Skinade
Imported from the UK, Skinade (www.skinade.com) is made up of 7,000mg of hydrolysed marine collagen. Consuming the 150ml ready-to-drink bottle daily for up to 90 days reportedly triggers a wound-healing response in our bodies that activates fibroblasts (collagen-producing cells), when it enters the blood stream. An increase in collagen also prompts the body to produce hyaluronic acid, which hydrates and tightens the skin. The drink is available in natural peach and mangosteen flavours from Iwona Specialty Clinic, Sansaya Cosmetic Surgery and Dental Clinic, Euromed Medical Center, Rose Arbaji and Kalm Holistic Beauty. Prices start from Dh800 for a 30-day supply.
