Is the summer heat demotivating you to take your bike out for a spin? How about a cool cycling session underwater instead? Fitness enthusiasts can join Fairmont The Palm’s outdoor Aquaspin class after Ramadan.

Participants, immersed in water up to the chest, pedalling stationary bikes submerged in the pool. The water increases the resistance for strengthening of the legs, thighs and abs. The activity reduces pressure on the joints and is a good option for people regaining their fitness post-operation.

The 45-minute Aquaspin class will be available every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am and Monday and Wednesdays at 6pm at the South Residence Pool. Sessions cost Dh75 and can be booked on 04 457 3330 or email palm.healthclub@fairmont.com.
