A second Five hotel is set to open in Dubai next month, complete with 269 swimming pools.

Five Jumeirah Village will open in Jumeirah Village Circle in early September, joining Dubai's ever-growing portfolio of new luxury hotels.

The existing Five Palm Jumeirah hotel has become known as a truly lively spot, attracting celebrities and influencers from around the world. And the new addition to Five's portfolio is set to turn heads as well. The hotel towers over the largely-residential Jumeirah Village Circle area, standing at 244 metres (800ft) tall.

The circular structure has been designed to offer 360° views of Dubai, with each room offering a spacious balcony.

The hotel’s biggest selling point though is its incredible number of spots in which to take a dip. There will be 269 swimming pools, most of which are located on the balconies of the 221 one and two-bedroom hotel apartments, and the 33 four-bedroom apartments.

Apart from the apartments, the hotel is made up of 247 luxury rooms and suites, for which guests will be able to access the hotel's larger shared pools.

It's fairly affordable too: the hotel is taking bookings from Monday, September 2, with room rates starting from Dh225 per night.

Five Jumeirah Village will eventually be home to multiple restaurants and cafes, serving food from around the world, and will also offer a daily shuttle to its Palm Jumeirah flagship, so guests can enjoy its famous food and party scene.

The Five Palm Jumeirah was initially opened as the Viceroy, but its name was changed to Five after a legal dispute.
