The latest hotels to open in the GCC  

The hotel scene across the GCC welcomes several new members every quarter. This week we have rounded up four new properties servicing the tourist market in Ajman, Dubai and Saudi Arabia.

Gulf Court Hotel, Dubai

There’s a 270-room hotel that recently opened its doors in Business Bay. Located about a 15-minute drive from Dubai International Airport, the Gulf Court overlooks the Dubai Water Canal and has seven room categories to choose from. There are two restaurants and a cafe on site, as well a nightclub and karaoke room. Other facilities include a pool, gym and spa. Rates start from Dh350 per night, including taxes. One of Saudi Arabia’s newest hotels, the Four Points by Sheraton Makkah Al Naseem is the brand’s largest hotel. The 1,136-room property includes 121 suites that offer unrivalled views of Makkah. There are four dining concepts within the hotel – all-day dining and two cafes – a retail area and supermarket as well as men’s and women’s fitness centres and free shuttles to and from the The Great Mosque of Makkah, Masjid al-Haram. This five-star hotel is located at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport. The 227-room property was designed to provide pilgrims and visitors to Saudi Arabia “a luxurious accommodation in the city”. A 30-minute drive from the centre of Al Madinah Al Munawwarah, the “City of Prophet”, Millennium Madinah Airport has four room options and an all-day dining restaurant, a crew restaurant (for meet-ups) and an outdoor terrace cafe. You’ll find the new 16-storey Wyndham Garden hotel on the Ajman Corniche.
