The Chedi Muscat reveals new look after upgrade works - in pictures
The stalwart hotel in Oman now has more rooms, new suites and additional outdoor terraces
Sixteen years after it opened in Oman’s capital, The Chedi Muscat is still a favourite spot for people seeking a weekend getaway.
And the hotel has just revealed the completion of its renovation works, which means that guests looking to visit can now opt to stay in the brand new four-bedroom suite, a two-bedroom suite or freshly upgraded rooms with terraces.
All of the hotel’s 160 rooms come with views of the gardens, the Hajar Mountains of the glistening Gulf of Oman.
Guests saying in rooms overlooking the garden can also enjoy an upgraded view as the renovation includes a variety of new plants and palm trees planted across the hotel grounds.
And when it comes to eating, the award-winning restaurant has also been upgraded with a newly designed kitchen space making dining preparations smoother for the hotel’s culinary team.
“Once again, the hotel feels as contemporary as a hotel can be,” said Morton Johnston, the hotel’s general manager.
Guests staying in the hotel also have the opportunity to book a slot on the recently introduced camel caravan dining concept. Lasting three and a half hours, it sees guests follow in the footsteps of a camel accompanied by a drum procession. The group journeys around the resort, stopping at five separate locations where guests can feast on various food and beverage courses.
