The first Radisson Red hotel in the Middle East and North Africa has officially opened in Dubai.

Located in the emirate's first smart city, Radisson Red Hotel Dubai Silicon Oasis opens for stays from today.

Part of Radisson's millennial-focused properties, the Dubai hotel joins other Radisson Reds in cities around the world including Cape Town, Glasgow, Portland and Miami.

With a total of 104 rooms, eight suites and 59 apartments, the region's first Radisson Red hotel has funky interiors and bold design. It's aimed at younger travellers that don't want to pay a premium for an overnight stay, but who don't want to forsake anything when it comes to style.

Emirati art

Design fans will appreciate the hotel's unique collection of artworks and installations, several of which were inspired by Emirati culture and created by local artists  Future collaborations with local talents are expected.

Dining at the Radisson Red Dubai Silicon Oasis is a social affair with a block-coloured "culinary hangout" called Oui Bar that serves up deli-style dining. There's also a round-the-clock Van Rouge where you can get grab and go eats. Menus feature vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

Upstairs, Red Roof bar and pool glows under a neon light and there's comfy loungers and parasols for those looking to get some sun-time. There's also a fully equipped fitness centre and a ping-pong table for anyone feeling competitive.

Bring your dog along

One of the best things about the Radisson Red Hotel Dubai Silicon Oasis is that it's pet-friendly. The Baxter dog programme was inspired by Radisson's very own Boston terrier who likes to live the high-life. It welcomes dogs at check-in and pups can bed down in the same room as their humans. As well as having their own comfy bed, food and water dishes, four-legged travellers will also get a dog-friendly welcome beverage.

For those working on the go, the hotel offers high-speed wifi, i-work stations, TV streaming devices and digi-walls. There's also 10 high-tech meeting venues and a 600-square-metre multi-event space that can be booked for conferences, team-building, parties and more.

“We love our location in Dubai’s first smart city and we look forward to Dubai Digital Park growing around us into the epicentre of the UAE’s advancing technology," said Stuart Birkwood, curator at Radisson Red Dubai Silicon Oasis.
