Four new hotels in the GCC

Check in to a luxury new InterContinental resort in Fujairah or an economy design hotel in Bahrain

Bookings can now be made for stays at the InterContinental Fujairah Resort, which will open on November 15. The 190-room hotel, which is the InterContinental Hotel Group’s first resort property in the Middle East, comprises a six-storey block running along Al Aqah Beach. It will feature four swimming pools, three bars and restaurants and a spa. Rooms cost from Dh1,674 per night, including breakfast, service and taxes.

New Rotana debuts in Riyadh

The Abu Dhabi-based Rotana Hotel Management Corporation has opened a new property in Saudi Arabia’s capital. The 290-room Centro Waha in Riyadh is in Al Olaya Street – Al Murooj District near the King Abdullah Financial District and has two restaurants, a cafe, fitness centre and rooftop pool. Rooms cost from 450 Saudi riyals (Dh441) per night, including taxes.

Qasr Al Sultan boutique hotel in Dubai

Qasr Al Sultan, which opened as a restaurant and shopping facility earlier this year, this week launched a boutique hotel with 12 suites, behind Dubai Parks and Resorts. Suites are 100 square metres, with private Jacuzzis and gardens, and cost from Dh2,140 per night, including taxes, breakfast, dinner and live entertainment.

Ibis Styles in Bahrain

The first Ibis Styles hotel has opened in Bahrain’s diplomatic district. The 95-room “economy design hotel” includes 24 family suites. Rooms cost from Dh394 per night, including taxes.
