UAE based travellers will be able to fly direct from Dubai to Krakow in Poland and Catania in Sicily from next year.

Krakow is the second-largest city in Poland and its cultural centre, and Catania is a favoured base for holidays to Sicily, a large island in southern Italy famous for its food and Arab influences.

Flights to Krakow will start on April 8 2018 and flights to Catania will start on June 13 2018. Return flights to Krakow are currently available from Dh2,200 return, with Catania costing from Dh2,185 return including taxes, with both flights taking six hours.

Flydubai is the first UAE carrier to fly direct to the destinations, and this grows its route network to over 100 destinations in 47 countries. In July, the airline entered into a codeshare agreement with Emirates, allowing travellers to book through to final destinations involving both airlines, on a single ticket. Last month, the airlines said that they were hoping to launch codeshare routes to 240 destinations by 2022.
