Dubai’s first Andaz branded hotel, Andaz Dubai The Palm, is set to open its door on Sunday, December 1, and we've had a first look inside.

Located in the Palm Jumeirah, the hotel rests on a 300-metre long private beach and is within walking distance of the upcoming Nakheel Shopping Mall. It has two 15-story towers that will house 217 guest rooms and 116 serviced apartments with decor inspired by contemporary Arabic arts and crafts. Art pieces showcasing up and coming local artists' works will be on display within the hotel interiors.

The new beachfront hotel will also boast five dining venues: neighbourhood restaurant The Locale, Japanese-themed Hanami, underground urban bar Knox, La Coco for those who want a casual bite by the pool and The Andaz Lounge which features cozy dens and plush seating surrounded by books. There is also a fitness center, spa and meeting facilities as well as an outdoor pool.

Those looking to get the perfect Instagram snap can head to the adult-only Cabana pool terrace. Two large woven seating canopies have been built to create intimacy and a focal point to frame a special view of the Burj Al Arab. Also be on the lookout for four palm tree-inspired umbrellas designed by Emirati artist Khalid Shafar. The umbrellas flank each corner and provide much-needed shade and style to the terrace.
