Etihad Airways is offering discounted return flights to a number of destinations as part of a 49-hour flash sale.

The national airline of the UAE has launched a new offer ahead of National Day on Wednesday, December 2, to mark the occasion.

As part of the sale, Etihad has introduced a Dh49 deposit which can be made to secure the discounted flights. Customers then have up to 21 days before their trip to pay off the remaining balance, but the initial deposit is non-refundable.

The sale, which launched on November 11, runs until 10am on Friday, November 13.

As part of the campaign, economy return flights from Abu Dhabi to the Lebanese capital of Beirut start from Dh1,249, or from Dh6,649 for business class fares.

Etihad's Covid-19 policies

The airline announced last month it will include a Covid-19 test in the price of tickets for UAE customers departing from Abu Dhabi until the end of the year.

All travellers are currently required to present negative test results in order to board Etihad flights.

In September, Etihad also introduced free medical cover for Covid-19-related expenses for passengers. The airline introduced complimentary insurance – being offered through AXA – as part of its Etihad Wellness programme. Dubai airline Emirates also offers free Covid-19 related-medical cover to its passengers.
