Check into Cambridge

The UK's famed Cambridge University has announced that it is opening up 18 different university venues to the public for bed and breakfast stays during the holidays.

Now anyone has the chance to sleep where Charles Darwin, Isaac Newton and William Wordsworth once stayed as the UK's famed Cambridge University has announced that it is opening up 18 different university venues to the public for bed and breakfast stays during the holidays. Requests for accommodation in the colleges used to come from groups but, following an increase in enquiries from individuals, the authorities have decided to open it up. The college buildings are rich in history, with the earliest dating back to 1446. The mulberry tree under which the poet John Milton is reputed to have written is on the grounds of Christ's College and Samuel Pepys's library is at Magdalene College.
