Only Men Go to the Grave by Emirati filmmaker Abdulla Al Kaabi tells the story of a mother who at the end of the Iraq-Iran war plans to tell her estranged daughters a secret, but dies in the process. Her daughters must piece together clues from funeral visitors. Directed by Ciro Guerra and inspired by a true story, Embrace of the Serpent is about Karamakate, an Amazonian shaman who builds a friendship with two scientists over the course of 40 years as they travel through the Amazon seeking a sacred plant.
