Catch a screening of the film Patti Cake$ as part of the Diff365@Vox series. The coming-of-age film by Geremy Jasper tells the story of suburban New Jersey rapper Patricia “Killa P” Dombrowski (Danielle MacDonald), whose passion for her craft isn’t taken seriously by her competitors or even some of those closest to her. A classic underdog story, the film follows Patricia’s quest for love and fame with energy, humour and slick beats. The film also stars Bridget Everett, Siddharth Dhananjay and Cathy Moriarty. The film is rated 15+.

New movie

My Cousin Rachel tells the story of Philip (Sam Claflin), a young Englishman who plots revenge against his cousin’s beautiful wife, Rachel (Rachel Weisz), who he believes murdered his cousin. But his feelings become complicated when he finds himself falling for her charm. The film is based on the Daphne du Maurier novel of the same name. Drama, also starring Iain Glen, Holliday Grainger, Andrew Havill, Katherine Pearce and Poppy Lee Friar.
