Flip Out Dubai presents the Biggest Flippin’ Loser, a 10-day fitness challenge involving a series of dynamic exercises focusing on cardio, strength, skill and core. An hour of trampoline exercise is said to burn up to 1,000 calories. Head trainer Hesham Kamel will lead participants, who will be eligible for various prizes. The package includes the 10-day programme, including personalised training, a nutrition plan tailored to each individual, a T-shirt, wristband and more.

Jamaican-American pop star Sean Kingston (Beautiful Girls, Fire Burning) will headline the Caribbean Beach Festival at Yas Beach, which celebrates island culture through art, food and music. Literaturhaus at Nadi presents a poetry reading with Zeina Hashem Beck. The Lebanese poet’s latest collection, Louder Than Hearts, won the May Sarton New Hampshire Poetry Prize and has been praised by poet Naomi Shihab Nye. Displacement is a central theme. The talk will be moderated by Anna Seaman and will end with a Q&A and a book signing.
