Put your best foot forward
Only a few things can tempt us out of bed at 8am on a Friday, but getting some exercise in the fresh air, supporting a worthy cause, and a chance to win a Dh2,000 gift voucher from Saks Fifth Avenue can do it.
This Friday, we're donning our trainers for the annual Safe & Sound Pink Walkathon to help raise funds to fight breast cancer.Last year's event saw more than 8,000 people take part in the 3.6km walk, and this year is meant to be bigger and better. Other attractions include a live jazz band and many top prizes up for grabs from Kaya Skin Clinic, Dragonfly Spa and BurJuman stores. See you at the starting line...
The Safe & Sound Pink Walkathon walk starts at the BurJuman Centre, Dubai at 8am on Friday. Registration costs are Dh50 for adults and Dh30 for children aged 8- 12. Children younger than eight can walk for free. All funds raised go to supporting free mammograms, patient care and further awareness. www.safeandsound.ae

Strands that stay

There is nothing worse than combing your hair when it's wet, and feeling like you're ripping your follicles to shreds. M has found the perfect solution; a lovely, silky spray that makes combing wet hair a breeze. It's also pink and a donation from each sale goes towards cancer research. What's not to like?

Website of the week: www.simplycheck.ae

Whether you want to learn more about breast cancer, how to self-check, or to book an appointment with a specialist, this website created by the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD) is full of vital information. Easy to navigate, packed with advice and details of screening centres, the site aims to empower and inspire women.

A secret not to be kept

We're excited to see the rise in Breast Cancer Awareness campaigns, and love that we can shop and support the cause at the same time. Women's Secret is donating Dh10 from each bra bought from the Must collection to the BurJuman Safe & Sound Breast Cancer charity campaign, under the patronage of the UAE Red Crescent Society and Dubai Health Authority. We can't think of a better time to stock up on lingerie.
