If you thought Eid al Fitr brought an end to the season's exhibitions, festivals and markets, you may be happy to hear that another shopping fair is set to launch in Dubai, to coincide with Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS). The two-month-long Summer Bazaar 2017, organised by E4 Entertainment, will take place from Thursday, July 6 in Hall 7 of the Dubai World Trade Center.

Handicrafts, home appliances, accessories, apparel, beauty products and gifts are among the merchandise that will be up for sale. Similar in style to Dubai's Global Village, the goods will be sourced from a range of countries, including China, Pakistan, Yemen, Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia and the UAE. Food vendors from these countries will also be present, and the bazaar will run in parallel with Truckers DXB, a food-truck festival, and Modhesh World, an annual kids' festival, at DWTC.

"At each pavilion in the bazaar, one can find a unique international or local cultural store that provides goods and services indigenous to that culture, with great deals. This will be an excellent platform for a complete consumer experience full of shopping, entertainment, and discovering excellent services and food in the midst of it all," says Sunil Bhatia, managing director of E4 Entertainment. "We are excited for this dynamic new enterprise and look forward to setting up a great market, which will become an annual exhibition."

Entry to Summer Bazaar 2017 is free.
