For just over a year, Soho Garden has been a go-to spot for night-owls in Dubai looking to dance the evenings away beside the world-class Meydan Racecourse. Drai's Dubai, in particular, has seen many a star DJ spin its decks well into the early hours, as revellers enjoy the electric superclub atmosphere.
Now it's set to get even better over the summer, as three new (air-conditioned) venues with two areas for dining will open. We don't have much information on the restaurants, whose "renowned chefs and cuisine will be revealed in the very near future", we're told. But here are all the details we do have:
Glasshouse Restaurant and Bar by Soho Garden
This spot will be open from Wednesday to Friday, and consists of both a restaurant and bar. It embodies the spirit of London's Soho area, with hip chicness at its core, and promises to be a top after-work spot. The bar will be open from 7pm to 3am, while the restaurant's opening hours are 8pm to 12.30am.
This place opens on the Eid Al-Fitr weekend.
Tokyo Vibes Lounge and Bar in Soho Garden
Again open from Wednesday to Friday, this bar and lounge is set to be tres sophisticated, with Japanese murals adorning the walls. There will be cocktails and sushi, with various musical experiences each night, from bohemian and melodic, to deep and commercial house. The bar will be open from 7pm to 3am, while the restaurant's opening hours will be 8pm to 12.30pm.
This place opens in June. The exact date is yet to be confirmed.
Code Club
Every Friday, from 11pm to 3am, party-goers will be transported to Ibiza without having to leave Dubai (well, that's the promise, anyway). Code Club will be located inside the Paddock, which lies parallel to ToyRoom, and will inject some minimal techno and superstar DJs into the city's clubbing scene. "Bringing it back to what's important, the music, this is not a club for the posers," reads the announcement.
This place opens on June 21.
Bonus: ToyRoom
This is not a new venue, but it will be undergoing a massive refurbishment throughout Ramadan, so by the time it reopens, it might as well be. As per the announcement, it will be "better and naughtier than ever", with R&B tunes, as well as both international and regional talent on the decks.
This place reopens on the Eid Al-Fitr weekend.
