Who better to know the best places to visit in a city than the residents themselves?

During the Artscape of World Cultures evening at Manarat Al Saadiyat last week, visitors were invited to tag three large maps of the capital with their favourite places in an installation called Mapping Abu Dhabi, based on work done for the Sharjah Biennial 10.

The maps are on display at the gallery until July 17 and are a revealing and creative way to get to know the city, whether you're a visitor or a long-time resident.
