Jeweller Maria Tash is opening its first store in the UAE in The Dubai Mall in November.
Popular with celebrities and fashion pages, the brand currently has outlets in New York, London, Dublin and Rome, and is known for its ear-styling and -piercing, and quirky designer jewellery that features precious stones such as diamonds and opals.
The retailer first opened in New York's East Village in 1993 and is known for curating the perfect multi-pierced ear, with fans including Jennifer Lawrence, Scarlett Johansson, Beyoncé and Margot Robbie. It is often credited with spurring the trend for multiple ear piercings, seen everywhere from the Hollywood red carpet to the catwalk over the last few years.
And it's not just one for the girls – Lewis Hamilton is also a fan.
In 2017, a piercing pop-up at Warehouse 26 offered Maria Tash jewellery, but this is the first permanent store to come to the region.
Work on the new store is under way, but an exact opening date is yet to be confirmed, as is whether or not it will be licensed to offer piercings.
