Priyanka Chopra has quashed ongoing rumours of a rift with friend Meghan Markle during an appearance on an American talk show.
It was widely reported that the actress was upset that the Duchess of Sussex did not make the journey to India for her wedding to new husband Nick Jonas in December, and further fuel was added to the fire when Chopra missed Meghan's lavish New York baby shower last month.
During the Quantico star's recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, a caller asked Chopra directly about the rumoured rift.
“Priyanka, are the rumours true that you were upset that Meghan skipped your wedding to Nick Jonas?” the caller asked, to which Chopra laughed, replying: “Oh my god! No, it’s not true."
The actress is said to have missed the baby shower due to prior work commitments in Los Angeles.
Chopra met the former Suits actress at the Elle Women in Television dinner back in 2015 and the pair have been firm friends ever since, both speaking openly about their admiration for each other.
Chopra attended Meghan's royal wedding to Prince Harry in Windsor last May, posting to say how proud she was of her friend.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will welcome their first child in April.
Chopra, meanwhile, opened up about her and Jonas's plans for the future, including the possibility of starting a family, last month.
Speaking at the LA premiere of Chopra's latest film Isn't It Romantic?, the 36-year-old actress said it was something that "needs to happen".
“We both know that that’s something that needs to happen, but it’s not something I think about very much,” she told reporters. “We’re both very driven, we love our work, we’re married to our work, and we’re both very supportive of each other’s work. So I’m sure it will happen in an organic way.”
