Celebrate the Year of Tolerance at Yas Waterworld

To mark the Year of Tolerance, Yas Waterworld, pictured above, is hosting a day of family-friendly activities on Friday. Enjoy a 10 per cent discount on single-day tickets with each accompanying friend of a different nationality, for a total of up to 50 per cent off with five friends. As well as enjoying the 40 rides, slides and attractions, take part in the Amwaj Wave Pool challenge at 10am, when guests can hold the flag of their home country. There will be complimentary face-painting and participants will take home a commemorative pin.

New treats at Black Tap

Treat yourself to the new items on the menu at Black Tap. This includes two CrazyShakes from Dh69: The Crazy Banana with Nutella and pretzels, and The New Yorker, with strawberry cheesecake topped with a cherry. There are six new burgers, including The Gulf Burger (from Dh95) with arugula, zaatar, halloumi and avocado; along with the Truffle Burger, pictured, (from Dh125); the Filet au Poivre Burger; the Pizza Burger; Chilli Cheese Burger (from Dh88); and the Reuben Burger. Now, there are a total of 17 on the menu. Also try the Mexican chilli, carne asada tacos and shrimp tacos (from Dh65). Breakfast is also available at the Dubai venues from 9am to 2pm.

‘Free Spirit’ film screening

Catch a screening of the short film Free Spirit, which reflects on the life of singer Khalid (Location, American Teen and Young, Dumb and Broke) and is a creative parallel to his new album, as well as a companion piece to his musical creations. The 45-minute film expands on his lyrics to tell stories of his youth, and includes commentary from Khalid himself. The event will feature a Q&A with special guests Big Hass, Moh Flow, AY, Shebani and Bailouni.
