Paint colour is all white
DELAWARE // Those Americans who are still buying cars are most likely to specify white as the exterior paint colour of their new motor according to a survey published by Dupont. The survey found that 20 per cent of all cars purchased in 2008 in the USA rolled out of showrooms with a white finish. The Automotive Color Popularity Report also reported that black (17 per cent), silver (17 per cent) and blue (13 per cent) were the next most popular colours. Elsewhere in the world, the hue is a little different. In Europe, black accounts for more than 26 per cent of new car sales. In Russia, meanwhile, 30 per cent of new motors are finished in silver.
