iSpy: Ford Fiesta CUV

It's not quite a crossover, it's a tad bigger than a hatchback, it's a compact utility vehicle, or CUV, and it's based on the high-selling Ford Fiesta. From this shot, we can see that it is raised a little higher off the ground than a base model Fiesta offering plenty of ground clearance, and it is a little wider. The grille is heavily disguised so it is expected that this CUV will have a unique front end to distinguish it from the rest of Ford's smaller cars. While this will be no dune-basher, the design may also be informed by the off-road ruggedness of the Ford Kuga and it is expected to come in a choice of two- and four-wheel-drive variants with Ford's fuel-saving, award-winning EcoBoost engines. A performance version to compete with the Mini Countryman John Cooper Works could also be in the pipeline.
