Infiniti plans convertible

LOS ANGELES // Infiniti, Nissan's luxury car brand, will launch a G37 hardtop convertible by the middle of next year, the brand's first foray into drop tops. The car will take strong design cues from the current G37 coupé, but has been substantially redesigned from the A-pillar back to account for the extra weight the convertible carries. Expect an impressive array of kit as standard, including an upgraded six-speed automatic gearbox and a 13-speaker BOSE sound system. A 3.7-litre V6 will provide the power. A sports-tuned version boasting firmer steering, larger brakes and 19-inch alloys will also be available.
