I-Spy: Mercedes' new CLS Shooting Brake spotted on track

After kickstarting the current fad for four-door coupés with the CLS, Mercedes seems intent on introducing another controversial body style with the CLS Shooting Brake. A concept was shown last year and feedback was positive enough to warrant putting the bold model into production, with an official unveiling in 2012. This slightly camouflaged prototype shows that it won't differ too much from the concept, with the rear and front ends getting only minor cosmetic changes. Dimensions will roughly stay the same, which means a length of about five metres and a relatively big boot, which will offer much more space than the ordinary CLS. Engines won't differ much from the coupé but it's unlikely we'll be seeing a CLS 63 AMG version, which is a shame.
