DeLorean on the big screen

LOS ANGELES // A biopic chronicling the life of the late rebel auto exec John Z. DeLorean is in development after producer Steve Lee Jones secured life rights from DeLorean's attorney Mayer Morganroth. The film will cover DeLorean's rise and fall, starting with his time as a young executive for General Motors. It was here that he developed the Pontiac GTO and Firebird, two classics of the American car industry. He later created his own short-lived auto company and the DeLorean DMC-12 car became famous when it featured in the Back to the Future films. There is no word yet on who will play DeLorean or when the film will be released.
