Pill-sential

Our beauty regimen is intense: lots of water, pots of cream, heaps of make-up all floating around in our massive handbags waiting to leak or break. That's why this pill box seemed to make a lot more sense than carrying around five tubs of vitamins, hair supplements and what-have-you all the time. Not only is it compartmentalised to make your daily routine more organised, but it also happens to be cute.

Sing your heart out

Don't try to pretend like you never played the role of rock star - singing into your hairbrush, head banging and thrashing your arms to an air guitar. With this Corioliss Mic Brush you can relive those moments a bit more realistically. It also fulfils its main purpose - the wide-spaced tips are perfect for detangling your mane without ripping too much out and the anti-static cushion pad prevents fly-away hairs. Approximately Dh60, www.corioliss.com

Nature's finest

Nature's finest After passing by hundreds of honey/oil/herb shops in the capital, we finally decided to get some natural treats for our body. We were amazed at all the oils and all the plants they come from. Cactus, black seed - you name it and they've got it. And the salespeople are experts when it comes to helping you out with your beauty woes. If you've got dry hair like us, castor, sweet almond and watercress do the trick. We mix ours in a big bottle, massage the oils onto our hair and scalp, then jump in the shower an hour later to rinse it out. Dh25 per bottle, Al Sheiba for Honey and Herbs, behind Etisalat on Airport Road between Seventh and Ninth streets, 02 633 3623.
