TO CATCH UP ON FASHION... Blanco in the Buenos Aires area. FAVOURITE SHOPPING AREAS... Brera area for new and upcoming designer stores, Via della Spiga and Via Montenapoleone for the big Italian brands. FAVOURITE MONTH... September; the weather is still warm and people are relaxed after the summer. ITALIAN WOMAN OF THE MOMENT... Elisabetta Canalis. FAVOURITE RESTAURANT... U Barba, Via Decembrio 33 for fresh seafood, homemade pasta and delicious cakes. You can play bocce in the picturesque back garden. FAVOURITE CONCEPT STORE... 10 Corso Como. MILAN'S BIGGEST SECRET... head to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and look for the bull in the tile work, close to Savini restaurant. Legend has it that if you put your heel on the bull's genitals and turn three times clockwise, it will bring you luck. FAVOURITE MARKET... the Senigallia close to the Naviglio River on Saturday. EVERY PERSON IN MILAN... has to have the latest sunglasses and a black understated bag. SECRET SHOPPING FINDS... Wok viale Col di Lana 5/A. CHARMING TOWN NEARBY... Pavia, half an hour's drive away. Was once the city of a hundred towers but now has only two left.

 

LONDON: SEPTEMBER 16-20

Saga Sig

A fashion photographer originally from Iceland. She moved to London to study photography and chose the city "because it's the fashion capital of creativity". Even as a student she had already shot for i-D, Dazed & Confused and Nylon, and she has worked with Daphne Guinness and Topshop.

FAVOURITE TIME OF YEAR...I love the colours of autumn and the rainy days. BEST BRITISH CUP OF TEA... Yumchaa. They have amazing scones. SECRET SHOPPING FIND... The Hammersmith. BOOKSHOPS... Charing Cross Road has Claire du Rouen Books (great for photography books) and Foyles - I love to buy a book there and read it in Ray's Jazz cafe. VINTAGE CLOTHING STORE... Rellik. WHERE TO PEOPLE WATCH... Trafalgar Square. SECRET THAT ONLY LOCALS KNOW... there are so many amazing gardens and parks. I love Holland Park and Hampstead Heath. LONDON IS SPECIAL... because of the people here. TO GET INSPIRATION... the British Library. FAVOURITE RESTAURANT... Broadway Market on Saturdays for the amazing food stalls. FAVOURITE BRITISH DESIGNERS... Alexander McQueen, Meadham Kirchhoff, Sorcha O'Raghallaigh and Louise Gray. LONDON'S MUSE... Alexa Chung. TO HAVE TIME ALONE... Wilton Way Cafe. I read a book there or draw storyboards for upcoming shoots. MOST RECENT PURCHASE... a lamp from The Other Side of the Pillow in East London. THE NEW HIPSTER HANGOUT... South. A lot of artistic people are moving there as it's cheaper. The trendy East London is getting very expensive. THE MOMENT I KNEW I WAS A TRUE LONDONER WAS... when I came back to London after a few weeks in Iceland and was sitting on the Gatwick Express. I felt that I was coming back home. MOST PRACTICAL SHOE... I am the most impractical person when it comes to shoes. I am always wearing chunky heels. EAT OR PRÊT?... Prêt. They have my favourite Love bars. MOST RECENT EXHIBITION... Tracey Emin at the Hayward Gallery. JEWELLERY... Mawi. I also dream about buying a piece from Dior Joaillerie.

FAVOURITE TIME OF YEAR... I've divided my time between NYC and LA for the past eight years. I've figured out the perfect balance: avoid NYC in winter, and spend as much time as possible during autumn and spring. FAVOURITE PLACE TO HAVE A COFFEE... on my roof or at 9th Street Espresso. SECRET SHOPPING FIND... Melet Mercantile. BOOKSHOP... McNally Jackson in Nolita. VINTAGE CLOTHING STORE... Narnia. SECRET THAT ONLY THE LOCALS KNOW... get out of the city as often as possible. WHY NEW YORK IS SO SPECIAL... it is my creative hub. A PERFECT DAY... a beautiful morning on my roof, wandering the streets with my dog and running into friends or browsing through shops, a great dinner at my place with friends. FAVOURITE RESTAURANT... Aquavit. FAVOURITE NEW YORK DESIGNERS... Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Alexander Wang. HOW TO BEST SPEND $100... on a great find in a flea market. BEST PLACE TO EXPERIENCE SOMETHING UNUSUAL... walking down the street. FAVOURITE SHOE DESIGNER... Laurence Dacade. THINGS MISSED MOST WHEN AWAY FROM NEW YORK... my dog Cream, and my flat.

 

PARIS: SEPTEMBER 27-OCTOBER 5

A stylist living in Paris. Her work is spread between editorial, shows and advertising and has appeared in Vogue and i-D. She has also worked on campaigns for Issey Miyake and Louis Vuitton and several Maison Martin Margiela fashion shows

FAVOURITE COFFEE SHOP... Terrace of Le Mini Palais or Café de L'industrie that I've been going to for more than 20 years. TO WATCH FASHION PEOPLE... Rue de Bretagne. FAVOURITE SEASON... spring after a long winter. A PERFECT DAY... is when you finish it off with a sunset near the River Seine. FAVOURITE RESTAURANT... Kunitoraya. VINTAGE CLOTHING... Chez Sarah at Marché Saint-Ouen. IF I HAD €100... I would spend it on lunch at a three-star Michelin restaurant. DURING FASHION WEEK... the traffic is awful and the hotels overbooked. SHOE DESIGNER... Pierre Hardy. BOOKSHOPS... L'arbre à Lettres, Galignani and Comptoir de L'image (for vintage books). WHEN I'M AWAY... I miss the taste of a baguette. FAVOURITE FRENCH DESIGNER... Nicolas Ghesquière. LAST THING I BOUGHT... macaroons from Ladurée for my friends. SECRET THAT ONLY PARISIANS KNOW... the silence of the streets during the summer holidays.
