There were further royal wedding celebrations in Dubai over the weekend, as a special reception was held to celebrate the marriages of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed and his brothers Sheikh Maktoum and Sheikh Ahmed.
The brothers officially married on May 15, with public celebrations taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre during Eid. But there was another celebration on Friday June 14 in Dubai, in the company of many well-known personalities from across the Arab world.
Among guests was Saudi Arabian television presenter Lojain Omran, who has taken to Instagram to share her congratulations and show the custom-made gowns she wore for the occasion.
Omran was Master of Ceremonies at the reception, and had multiple outfit changes throughout the evening, each created by Lebanese designer Charbel Karam.
Her first gown was a nude, princess cut, long sleeved design featuring hand-embroidered sequins running throughout. Later in the evening, she then changed into a scoop neck navy gown, featuring metallic silver details with flowing sheer sleeves.
Also in attendance were Emirati singer Ahlam Alshamshi and Iraqi singer Majid Almohandis, who each performed at the ceremony.
In this Instagram post, Ahlam writes her "congratulations" for the three couples, saying she hopes they have had "successful wedding celebrations".
Ahlam also shared a video showing famous singer Rashid Al Majid at the event, so we can presume he likely performed as well:
Meanwhile, Omran also posted a photo from the event with Ali Alkhawar, a poet who has written poems for Sheikh Hamdan, and the Dubai royal family, in the past:
Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai, married Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed; Sheikh Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, married Sheikha Maryam bint Butti; and Sheikh Ahmed, Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, married Sheikha Midya bint Dalmouj.
