The much publicised bromance between actor/musician Jared Leto and Gucci’s outlandish creative director, Alessandro Michele, is continuing on its colourful course. Leto’s band, 30 Seconds to Mars, is currently on tour in North America, and the eccentric musician has been sporting one-of-a-kind Michele creations on stage.
Also part of his tour wardrobe are a variety of looks from Gucci’s latest runways collections. One particular outfit, which pairs a floral kaftan with a fringed cape and silver high-top trainers, is a prime example of Leto’s distinctive style. Other notable sartorial statements include a gold-sequinned jacket and tartan-fringed overcoat.
Leto has been a major proponent of Michele’s creations since the designer first took the helm at Gucci. Last year, Leto was named as the face of the Gucci Guilty fragrance. “I think that Alessandro does something very special,” Jared said of Michele in an exclusive interview with The National last year. “He puts so much love, care and joy into his work that when you wear Gucci, you’re not just wearing something that’s beautiful or pretty, you’re actually – you’re feeling the same thing that he feels when he’s making it."
Leto will next been seen on screen in Blade Runner 2049, alongside Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, and has also confirmed rumours that 30 Second to Mars will release a highly anticipated new album later this year.
