The Style List: Lace is more

A petite piece of furniture proves that "lace" is more.

Inspired by Japanese art, the Lace seat and footstool proves that less is almost always more. Made from foam, Lace's petite proportions are complemented by the subtlest of detailing - a thin length of cord running around and then through the stool. Created by the young up-and-coming French designer Benjamin Graindorge, the multi-purpose stool comes in either felt or a thick woven upholstery, in a stunning array of colours, and forms part of the iconic French furniture brand Ligne Roset's newly-launched 2013 collection.

This and other Ligne Roset products are available now from the brand new Aati showroom in Abu Dhabi. Operated by the Al Tayer Group, Aati offers a raft of high-end, contemporary design brands from around the world, including Fendi, Ligne Roset, Nada Debs, Minotti, Kenzo, Missoni Home and Ralph Lauren Home, as well as an interior consultation service. The new showroom spans 16,000 square metres, set across two floors, and is located in the Shining Towers on King Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz Street.
